About the Wine:

This Carignan from the Northern Barossa displays vibrant sour plum and blueberry notes, with a crunchy and fresh profile. The palate features soft tannins, a clean and juicy taste, and a refreshing, zesty finish due to its lighter alcohol content of 11.5%. The wine underwent a 25-day fermentation, with 50% whole bunch fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, resembling a carbonic fermentation process. It aged for 10 months in old French oak Hogsheads before bottling, with a small amount of sulfur added at that stage. Grown in Ebenezer, it embodies a light to medium-bodied, dry red wine style.

About the Producer:

Sigurd Wines is the brainchild of Daniel Graham, inspired by his great-grandfather's Nordic heritage. After gaining experience in various wine regions worldwide, he founded Sigurd Wines in 2012, focusing on organically grown grapes. Dan's winemaking philosophy revolves around minimal intervention, using indigenous yeasts and avoiding adjustments to acidity or tannins.
Dan's wines artfully capture the essence of the Barossa Valley, highlighting the region's diverse terroir and its profound significance in winemaking.
