Eperosa 'Krondorf 1903' Grenache '22
Eperosa 'Krondorf 1903' Grenache '22
About the Wine:
This single vineyard grenache presents deep, fresh red raspberry fruit accompanied by notes of wet slate, anise, and a subtle hint of cinnamon. It carries flavors reminiscent of red licorice, musk sticks, fresh tobacco, and spice. The palate showcases pure and ample fresh red raspberry fruit, complemented by mineral undertones that lead to a long, finely spiced finish.
About the Producer:
In the 1840s, Brett Grocke's (Owner and Winemaker) forefathers planted vineyards near Jacob's Creek in Krondorf, Barossa Valley. As the 6th generation, Brett continue the family tradition of owning and farming vineyards.
Eperosa's motto is "wines built from the dirt up," reflecting their focus on organic and regenerative practices. They carefully manage the vineyards and fruit is handpicked and sorted. Their winemaking follows traditional methods, aiming to capture the vineyard's true character.
The grapes are foot stomped, fermented in small open containers, and aged in French oak barrels. Eperosa has always prioritised sustainability, with an eco-friendly winery design, solar power, rainwater harvesting, and low-impact practices.
